This is an excerpt from an article I wrote on Examiner.com.  It discusses the fact that the TEA Party Nation Convention in Nashville TN is not a true TEA Party event, but rather an attempt by the Republican Party to hijack the movement.

<!-- -->

First some quick premises and reference points.  The TEA Party Movement is not one group.  There are about 20 major TEA Party / Grassroots groups and 30-50 smaller TEA Party / Grass roots Groups. TEA Party Nation came into existence in about August of 2009. The true TEA Party Movement has been around about a year. True TEA Party and grassroots organizations take direction from the bottom up.  TEA Party Nation and other Republican Trojan Horses exert control and direction from the top down.

Per the title of this article, let me reiterate that TEA Party Nation and the convention occurring this weekend are commonly known to be Republican Ruses among true grassroots TEA Partyers.  True TEA Partyiers look down on the Republican Trojan Horse Groups with scorn. TEA Party Nation and its convention represent an attempt by the Republican Party to hijack the TEA Party Movement. Please read the following articles for the major media spin on this situation: . Tea Party Convention showdown [ http://twurl.cc/25yv ];  Tea Party convention raises questions about future  [ http://twurl.cc/25yw ]  or as a staunch liberal would put it: TeaParty-ism   [ http://twurl.cc/25zb ]

But the average American does not have to rely on anyone's news story to realize that the TEA Party Nation Convention is not a grassroots organized event......

Minnesota Gubernatorial Candidate Debate Saturday, Jan 30, 2010

Good Afternoon Patriots!

Our Gubernatorial Debate has outgrown the Princeton Library and has to move to The Great Northern Train Depot in Princeton! (see address below) Please pass this information onto anyone who may need this updated location information and anyone who wants to start getting involved in our cause. We now have 4 candidates that will be at this historic event - Marty Seifert, Phil Herwig, Bill Haas, and  Tom Emmer.

This Tea Party is one of the most active and effective truly grassroots 0rganization in the state! You are making a statement that we will not sit down or shut up - We want our cities, counties, States and Country to be the best in the world! We live in the greatest country in the history of this world for a reason.  The reason is this great country was founded on FREEDOM!

Due to the expected overflow turnout for our upcoming Governors debate on Saturday January 30th @ 2:00pm we have had to move to the Mille Lacs Historical Society Great Room to host the event. In general the debate will go as follows;

Each candidate will have 3 minutes to introduce themselves and telling why there are running and what they stand for.

Each candidate will then have 2 minutes to speak on the other candidates statements. We are asking people with questions to write them down (we will provide postcards, etc.) and then the questions will be randomly drawn for asking.

The questioner can ask their question to any or all of the candidates and the candidates will have time to answer. The questioner will have 1 followup question on point if needed. (Bring questions and remember to be respectful to our guests.

Try to keep your questions related to our State and local issues - Property rights, Light Rail (BOONDOGGLE), taxes of all kinds, Energy and keeping their campaign promises.)

Candidates will get 3 to 5 minutes at the end to summarize and try to prove to us that they have the clearest vision and will stick to their promises. We are planning on getting as many microphones as we can.

There will always be disagreements - that is a good thing. We have to hear what they have to say. If we beat up on our we won't be able to get more guests in the future. Also please keep side conversations to a minimum while others are speaking.

The depot houses the Mille Lacs County Historical Society, 101 S 10th St., is located west of downtown Princeton on 1st Street. From the center stoplight in Princeton at the junction of Rum River Drive (Old Hwy 169) go west on 1st street approximately 5 blocks, turn left just past the Public Utilities office. The depot will be on your right. Travel to the far (southern) end of the building. Doors open at 2:00pm. Depending on the weather you may want to bring a small blanket and or pad for your chair.

TEA PARTY - What MA Scott Brown means? A different perspective.

This is an except for an article that I wrote on Examiner.com.

<!-- -->

I will try to get straight to the point.  If you don't agree with my premise, stop reading:

My fellow TEA Party Conservatives, I premise my thoughts on the following: The two major political parties deliberately polarize WE THE PEOPLE to divert attention from them.  We vent our hostility on the political opposition because that is how politicians frame our elections.  Instead of us pouring our ire out on the politicians, we vent on each other.  Our politicians are like the kids from the school ground of your youth who spread rumors and goaded others into fights while they stood by and laughed at what they had created.

My fellow TEA Party Conservative friends (no I am not forgetting my liberal TEA Party friends) I ask you to contain your enthusiasm.  I know we have had to just take it for a year and we are frustrated.  I know we want to lash out. But let us not lose this opportunity to permanently change American Politics. Let us be gracious, benevolent winners. Let us reach out to our fellow Americans and engage them in thoughtful dialogue.  Invite them to TEA Parties in spite of their political leanings. Let them get to know us by our acts and deeds.  Share with them your pride in you self-sufficiency.  Instill them with your fervor for life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.  Let them come to see what their leaders told them about us was simply propaganda.

Do not let the politicians from the two main political parties continue to frame our elections and tell us how to feel about the issues.  Do not let the politicians pit us against each other

Minnesota Judicial Tyrants play their ugly Apparatchik hand

This is an article I wrote comparing what is happening to a Minnesota Group seeking Judicial Reform and Accountability to KGB style tactics they are encountering.

<!-- -->

A few years ago I bristled at a statement by then Russian President Putin regarding Democracy. Essentially he indicated "Russia has democracy. It is as good as American Democracy. It just upsets you that it is different than American Democracy". He went on to point out specific ironies of American Democracy. [ Bush and Putin Exhibit Tension Over Democracy 2005 http://twurl.cc/241o ]

President Putin was responding to then US President Bush 43's criticism of a perception of Putin's back sliding on democracy.

"Critics accuse the Kremlin of backtracking on democracy by stifling the independent press, re-nationalizing the Russian oil giant Yukos, taking control of Parliament, and abolishing elections for regional governors. Human-rights groups also accuse Russian forces of carrying out widespread abuses in Chechnya" [ Bush Confronts Putin, Face to Face, Over Democracy 2005 http://twurl.cc/241u ]

"(Putin) who has canceled elections, jailed opponents, driven pro-Western democratic parties out of parliament,taken over national television and effectively renationalized Russia's largest oil company" [ Bush Gently Prods Putin on Democracy 2005 http://twurl.cc/241l ]

"Mr. Putin told CBS: "Four years ago, your presidential election was decided by the court." and, paraphrasing, " haven't American Journalist been fired for criticizing the Bush Administration" [ Bush and Putin in democracy row 2005 http://twurl.cc/241s ]

As a American born and raised in the USA and having lived through the propaganda of the Cold War I was incensed by Russian President Putin's attitude of being on equal footing as the USA in discussing Democracy. How could this fledgling Democracy, born of out a loss to Democracy by a former communist country dare compare the fullness of their fledgling Democracy (> 15 years) to the Great USA Democracy (@ 230 years.)? Did Putin not realize the Russians lost? How dare Putin point out the shortcomings and hypocricies of American Democracy? They simply just can't be true. ( For those of you not old enough to remember the cold war, please seek out someone older who can share with you their feelings. If for no other reasons than to pay heed to the following adage; "They who know not their history are destined to repeat it. [Cold War Museum http://twurl.cc/241w] )

For four years now, a coalition of your fellow Minnesota Citizens have sought to have legislation on Minnesota Judicial Reform and Accountability heard in the Minnesota Legislature with no success. In Minnesota, the Chairpersons of the Respective Senate and House Judiciary committees control what legislation is heard and which is not. Senator Mee Moua (D)and Representative Joe Mullery (D) refuse to hear our proposed legislation or any of our testimony.

TEA Party Express III coming to Minnesota April 8, 2010

TEA Party Express III coming to Minnesota April 8, 2010

TEA Party Express III coming to Minnesota April 8, 2010

uploaded by CynicalPatriot

It is currently scheduled to stop in Minneapolis, Duluth and Ironwood. Please check the included link for exact times as the date approaches.

The TEA PArty Express ( http://twurl.cc/21g3 )is a traveling road show with some whistle-stop like expounding, some great songs,  and a little dancing and prancing.  That's right conservatives can be fun too.  I traveled 574 miles for 11 hours to see them in Rapid City South Dakota Last Fall. Well worth the ride. This will be part of their third trip around the United States leading up to the November 2010 elections. This tour will end up at the nations capital on Tax day, April 15.

Group Spokesman Levi Russell says the tour will spotlight members of Congress who they consider the worst offenders when it comes to fiscal policy. While both Republicans and Democratic Politicians will be targeted, Russell freely admits more Democrats than Republicans will be the subject of their ire.

As with the past tours the program will emphasize the issues of Limited Government, Erosion of Personal Liberties, Intrusion of Government into our personal lives and Fiscal Responsibility.

This group is sponsored by Freedomworks ( http://freedomworks.org ), one of the many groups that make up the TEA Party Movement.  In the authors opinion, this group leans towards being Republican Loyalists.  Republican Dick Armey ( http://twurl.cc/21g4  )is the Founder of Freedomworks. Despite this I believe that Independents and even third party minded TEA Partyers, NO Incumbents TEA Partyers, Umpire Strategy TEA PArtyers and Liberal Constitutionist TEA Partyers will find the group program a worthwhile event.  I believe it will be a great event to galvanize all citizens across the spectrum of the TEA Party in Minnesota.

Those were my thoughts.

RE: Letter on your behalf from your Legislative assistant, James Chang

Hello Senator Moua:

I previously left a voice mail on this matter with your office.

To summarize that phone call: At this point, I am going to let your Legislative Assistant’s mischaracterizations of what was said go as a simple misunderstanding. And in addressing those mischaracterizations, I am not going to make any judgment as to your offices moral/ethical character. However, this is my last extension of said courtesy. In the future, any deliberate gross mischaracterization of my actions or questions will be addressed as personal moral and/or character flaws of you and/or your staff.

In light of your staff’s inability to understand simple thoughts and common courtesy, I request that you directly respond to this and future correspondence and not pass it off to staff. This will greatly reduce future misunderstandings.

Now, to keep us all honest, I am going to post our correspondence on my various websites but primarily http://donmashaksmn2judicialdistrictfreepres.blogspot.com/...

Now, to address the mis-characterizations:

1) I find it hard to believe that your staff would not understand that I expected a phone call when I sought to have legislation regarding Minnesota Judicial Reform and Accountability heard before your Judiciary committee. Your staff mentions

Dear GOP, Since you aren't really using the Republican Party name

This is a portion of my article written at Examiner.com. My intent in writing this article is to either convince the Republican Party to meet with the Conservative faction of the TEA Party Movement and reform itself or make it clear to TEA Party Republican Loyalists that the Republican Party has no intent to reform because the Republican Leaderships equates that with loss of power.

Prologue - I realize that some people have the perception that the TEA Party Movement is a Republican Trojan horse.   To be sure, there is a strong conservative leaning in the TEA Party Movement.  And, there is a faction of the TEA Party Movement that are what I would call "Republican Party Loyalist".  But there is also a small faction of Liberals who have concerns with the Democratic Party similar to the concerns we conservatives have with the Republican Party. Most of the TEA Party folks define themselves as anti-corruption and pro-Constitution. The fact of the matter is the TEA Party Movement's most unifying concerns are about both major political parties 1) lack of adherence to the Constitution, 2)the erosion of our Bill of Rights, 3) overwhelming Political, Judicial and Bureaucratic corruption, 4) excess special interest influence and 5) the de facto Plutocracy (Government and Justice to the highest bidder) which causes legislation and judicial decisions contrary to the best interests of the general citizenry and the country as a whole. Citizen to Citizen, I would ask the Republican Loyalists and concerned Liberals who place loyalty to country over loyalty to party to be as critical of the failings of their own respective political party as I am about to be with regard to the Republican Party.

Dear GOP Leadership:

Since you are not really living up to the principals of the Republican Party name, how about giving it to the conservative faction of the TEA Party Movement.   Perhaps you would then be able to name your party with a name that more accurately represents its position, like "Democrat Light" or "Special Interest Lackeys"....

...In light of the recent poll showing that the TEA Party Movement is more popular among the American Public than either the Democrats or Republicans ( http://twurl.cc/1zrv ) isn't it a bit presumptive for the Republicans to command the TEA Party to sacrifice their votes to save the Country from Obama and the Democrats.....
